While we’re unplugging, we may have a fear of missing out anything that matters to us. Instead of being fully unplugged, our minds may still be wandering around restlessly. You may be thinking about your kids, whether they are alright during the school trips, or whether your parents are safe with their caregiver. What if there’s something urgent come up but they can’t reach you?
How to have a worry-free unplugging from your busy life
We’ve got for you a solution on how to unplug while still reachable for a very urgent matter. Let Memobird portable printer & messenger be your own personal inbox when you are unplugging your phone.
Here’s step-by-step how to set up Memobird as your personal inbox.
1. Complete the Memobird setup
You can follow the setup instruction here.
2. Create a new Memobird applet with IFTTT
Let’s try to print out a new email with "emergency" label. First, you need to open IFTTT website here. If you don’t have an IFTTT account, you need to create a new IFTTT account first. If you already have an IFTTT account, you can sign in to your IFTTT account.
a. After you sign in, tap “New Applet” then tap "+this" and search the trigger service, in our case, the trigger service would be Gmail. Choose the trigger New email in inbox labeled, type the label with "emergency" and complete the steps. But of course, you can also choose other trigger services such as Connect Phone Call or SMS.
b. Tap "+that" then search the resulting service that is Memobird. Choose action "Print a message" then create and finish the applet.
Once your new applet is finished and activated, the Memobird will print out a new email with "emergency" label. So, you just need to put Memobird besides you or any spot that can be seen easily. That way, you can ease your mind because you know despite being unplugged from your phone, people can still reach you for a very urgent matter.
